West Binny Reservoir

Brief description of fishery:

West Binny Reservoir is situated in West Lothian close to the village of Dechmont. This old reservoir has been stocked with a mixture of coarse fish for many years and holds carp, tench, roach and a few wild brown trout.  We have made some recent stockings of both mirror and common carp which has greatly improved the carp fishing. The reservoir is approx. 2.6 acres and features interesting areas of shallows and deeper water.   Be warned though, the walk from the road is fine going downhill but can be a challenge on the return journey.  Cars must not be driven down to the water and should be parked at the side of the road.  Please ensure you do not block access for farming vehicles.  Set your satnav for EH52 6NB.

Special Rules for this fishery:

• Under no circumstances should vehicles be taken into the field or down to the water.
